Sheikh Muhammad Hisham Tahiri
In Ramadan, it is better to complete it multiple times.
It was not known that the Prophet ﷺ would pray a Rak'ah (unit of prayer) this long - consider this!
In one Rak'ah he completed Surah Al-Baqarah, Aali Imran and An-Nisa. He flowed with his recitation, meaning he read quickly.
Okay, so if in one Rak'ah he read five and a half Juz (portions of the Qur'an), then what about the second Rak'ah? Five and a half Juz, meaning he finished ten Juz. In six Rak'ahs he finishes the whole Qur'an.
So what did he pay attention to? What did he reflect upon? Completing the Qur'an multiple times. Is this clear?
This is why the companions and the pious predecessors would pay attention to completing the Qur'an multiple times in Ramadan.
